Nederburg Wine Auction

This is one of the world's largest wine auctions, held annually in Nederburg, one of South Africa’s most awarded wine regions.

More than 150 wines from 80 or 90 different wineries are judged in the auction by 54 specialist tasters. The aim of the event is to bring South African wine to the attention of the international market and now simply being selected for the auction lends wines a prestige.

Visitor to the auction aren’t able to bid for the wines (though they are able to taste some), but can bid at a charity auction where rare wines and other collectors items are on sale.
