Dussehra is a day to celebrate the triumph of the forces of good over evil and to begin new things in your life. The festivals heritage varies in different parts of India, however the message and events are similar. Large effigies to the gods of the forces of good are built and worshiped or effigies to the gods of evil are built then filled with explosives and attacked then burned. In some areas people also worship weapons on Dussehra. As well as being popular in India, Dussehra is the largest festival in Nepal.
