‘Beautiful Architecture’Since its completion in 1937, the Golden Gate Bridge has been one of the most recognizable bridges in the world. Reaching almost 2 miles in length and 746 feet in height, it's a massive structure of beautiful architecture. Although driving over the bridge can be a fun experience, you must walk or bicycle over the bridge to be able to fully appreciate this large wonder. The sidewalks are opened during the day for pedestrians and bikers but know that it's usually very windy and cold and the bridge vibrates. Visit the "Roundhouse" which is the bridge's gift shop and buy photos and other souvenirs.
