While it may be in England, Birmingham has a distinctly German atmosphere during the Christmas season. In fact, its holiday market is even called the Frankfurt Christmas Market. Set up in historic Victoria Square, over 90 stalls give it the prestige of being larger than any other authentic market that’s not located in Austria or Germany, the origin of the holiday tradition. Not surprisingly, the place is known for its genuine German goods, particularly the delicious food. Birmingham’s Christmas Craft Market is put on during the same time and offers a more international selection of products. With the craft market taking place in Chamberlain Square, Birmingham’s two Christmas markets can be easily visited in the same outing. 15th Nov - 23rd Dec
