One of my caving books calls La Deveze 'The Palace of the Glass Filaments' which is an apt description for it's smooth delicate crystal like formations some which are as thin as the proverbial babys finger.
The whole mountain the cave is part of is riddled with marble crevices and the main caves were actually discovered off a tunnel built for a railway.
There is a caving museum which is part of the complex.
