You can opt to jet boat or four wheel drive your way through Queenstown's Skippers Canyon. Known for its prolific gold mines, the 30 million year old canyon and its gold-bearing river caused a giant gold rush in the 1860s. Since then, the prospect of treasure and the natural beauty of the site have drawn in visitors from all over the world.
