At the bottom of the deep, steep walled Geibikei Gorge is a tranquil pool of shallow, gently running water. This is a popular place for Japanese people to enjoy the changing colours of the leaves.
The best way to enjoy the scenery is on a gondola, however there are several trails that follow along parts of the gorge.
