Staying in one of these Mongolian Nomad Yurts should be on every adventurous campers “to do” list. This venue provides four authentic yurts, each furnished and decorated to be luxurious yet rustic at the same time. The yurts are wood- latticed structures, covered in canvas. Inside, five beds are built on a raised wooden floor. For night time cosiness there are big kilim cushions and sheepskins to unwind on around a central log-burning stove. The yurts are so comfortable and snug (would be fantastic for a romantic winter getaway) but nobody really goes camping to stay inside the tent. The area is one of outstanding natural beauty. There are panoramic views of the Otter Valley and great walks at the coast. For pure relaxation though, hammocks outside each tent provide for a lazy afternoon. Nearby woodlands, rivers and ocean views make it a scenic walking area.
