A bunch of iconic American trailers in a field in French countryside? A surprising find, simply designed for fun. The English owners have an impressive collection of original vintage Airstream trailors for hire, easily recognised for their smooth silver bullet-shaped body. Alternatively, there are some spacious pitches for tents and an area for caravans (which by owners rules have to be over 30 years old!). The Apollo lounge is a 11 metre Airtream sheltered under a big top tent, where drinks and light meals are served. There is also a small shop on the premises with sells local organic produce to campers. Inside the Airstream caravans you will find that nearly every item of furniture and crockery is appropriately vintage. If the novelty of staying in a retro caravan wears off, the beauty of the location endures. On a clear day it is possible to behold the splendour of the Pyrenees. Nearby medieval towns of Carcassonne and Mirepoix are well worth a visit. Also being in the heart of the Cathare region, there are no shortages of castles to visit.
