Palawan

See more Beaches. See best of Philippines

The Palawan Islands lie to the south west of the Philippine Archipelago, each one an unspoiled natural wonder in its own right – and there are well over a thousand of them.

Marine reserves, fantasy beaches and national parks are gradually tempting more eco-tourists towards the region and with so many stretches of pristine, palm-fringed sand, it is certainly not difficult (yet) to find accommodation with its own private beach right on the doorstep.

Quite a number offer a fresh, local seafood lunch or a candlelit dinner on the deserted shoreline – your own personal paradise.
