Mudeford Beach
See more Beaches. See best of Bournemouth in United Kingdom.

From above, Mudeford Beach looks as though it is smiling. Triangular points jut out into the harbour, flashing a white sand smile. Two miles from Christchurch, Mudeford beach has a lot to offer. From water sports such as sailing and wind surfing, to delicious fish restaurants on the harbour, a visit to the beach is a trip back to quintessential England. A grassy bank surrounds the sand and is peppered with around 350 multi coloured beach huts. Oh so very now, these 12×8 mini kingdoms are yours for the day if you book early enough. Intimate, cosy, and perfect for those with a nostalgia for tradition, they offer a great hideaway from the predictable chill of the British weather. If the four walls become a bit too small, visit Haven house, an old smuggler’s haunt, which is a short walk from the beach. Mudeford beach may be sunny, it most probably will be wet, but it may take you back to your childhhod, so much so that you may even want to bring a donkey.
