Pangkor Laut Resort's privately owned Emerald Bay on this small island is often sited as one of the best beaches in the world - a perfect crescent shape with silky soft sand and no crowds. However, since it is only accessible by guests, that marks it down in my book, but purely as a beach, it is near perfect - just expensive!
