Relaxed, contemporary B&B in the gorgeous Byron Bay hinterland A grey-blue painted timber-framed house set in a rainforest garden, The Tin Dog has been expertly renovated by former Sydney-siders Mark and Sue to fuse contemporary design with a natural environment. There are lots of lovely spaces to relax in, including verandas, a secluded summer house, loungers by a saltwater pool and comfortable sitting rooms. And with just 4 uniquely designed rooms and no children allowed, this B&B is brilliant for people who want to dip in and out of the vibe at nearby beach resort Byron Bay but be able to retreat to tranquility. It's named after a funky sculpture Mark bought Sue which now graces the entrance way, and such quirkiness is carried through in the look and feel of the house. Delicious homemade breakfasts and cakes are provided by Sue, a former chef, and there are excellent restaurants a short drive away. Book in for a weekend, then reconsider and book for longer.
