The pretty village of Coverdale in Yorkshire is home to the Arkleside Art Studio – a compact, well-equipped, restored 17th century barn set in two hundred acres of farmland, with cosy accommodation, its own kitchen and living area, and even a little walled garden. Various specialized art courses run by local tutors are available, so you can fall out of bed and into the studio every day if you're really focused, or just use Arkelside primarily as a base for a walking holiday in the Yorkshire Dales – whichever takes your fancy. The studio contains its own silk screen press and other printing equipment, plus a kiln for stained glass work and tools for etching and mosaic-making, so whether you are just experimenting or have a personal project you want to complete (maybe for your own front door!), you are likely to find the flexible approach you need here.
