This valley harbours a remarkable array of Bronze Age monuments and relics dating from 2500BC. 90 stone structures, separated by stone walls which run across the whole valley floor rising in and out of the peat which has protected some of the monuments from ruin. The remains mostly tell of the areas agricultural heritage , houses, animal enclosures, tombs, stone circles and standing stones were erected by these generations of ancient farmers.
