Trashy Diva

The word “trashy” in the title may mislead you into thinking that you are about to enter a shabby lingerie or rave clothing store. However, there is actually nothing trashy about this place. It is filled with rather beautiful dresses inspired by styles from the 40s, 50s, and 60s and created by a small Indie designer out of New Orleans. What originally started off as a strictly secondhand clothing store in 1996 has flourished into a stylish boutique that carries 8 lines filled with fun and unique pieces of women's clothing, all crafted by designer Candance Gwinn.

Super cute dresses are designed with the intention to flatter most all body types and many customers agree to this. They also have an extensive line of classic skirts, blouses, bridal dresses, and lingerie.

You can order off the Trashy Diva website, and also many of the lines are shipped off to wholesalers so its possible to find these dresses in other boutiques across the country. I'm told the best way to shop for Trashy Diva merchandise is to go into the store in Louisiana itself where the gorgeous windows display the latest fashion pieces, adorned with jewellery and other accessories, making it almost impossible to disobey the urge to try things on!
