Stars of the White Nights Festival

Imagine a festival at which all the best international opera, ballet and symphonic premiers of the season lit up the stage, one after another, and you would find yourself thinking of St. Petersburg's Stars of the White Nights Festival. It revolves around the Mariinsky Theatre and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall and began in the early 90s as a two-week event, but has grown to such proportions that it now packs the entire month of June with world class performances and spills over into the two adjoining months.
