Review about Kamchatka Peninsula

More peaceful than it looks

Best of Russian natural beauty, see the grandness of the volcanoes, ‘friendly’ fish eating bears, teams of bird life including rarer eagles and other creatures endemic to the region. Nomadic groups still survive within this spectacular setting. Most are fishermen or reindeer herders and it is possible to visit some of them by helicopter. Kamchatka looks fearsome but the volcanoes are peaceful as are the bears, other wildlife and ethnic groups that make this place so special.
