Mesa Verde

Mesa Verde, meaning green table in Spanish, is an ancient historical site. This national park has over 4,000 archeological sites, making it the largest archeological preserve in the United States. Dating from 600 to 1300 A.D. Mesa Verde National Park is the only park in the United States that is dedicated to the preservation of human artifacts. Purchase tickets to tour the cliff dwellings such as Cliff Palace and the Balcony House. Also don't forget to stop into the Chapin Mesa Archaeological Museum and see its exhibits on Ancestral Puebloan life.
