Mesa Verde

Mesa Verde National Park is the home to over 4,000 known archaeological sites where artefacts from the Pueblo people who lived in the area from 600AD to 1300AD have been discovered. Some of the most fascinating and well preserved are the 600 cliff dwellings, houses dating from the 12th and 13th century built in shallow caves along the canyon walls

Visitors are able to visit the cliff dwellings and there is an onsite museum containing relics found in the area
