Dahab

Dahab has warm water and good wind all year round. It has some of the best wind in the regions closest to Europe so has become a popular windsurfing destination for European surfers. The water is shallow and flat, with a sandy bottom and the natural temperature differences that occur in the desert at night ensure the winds are fairly consistent.

An area located behind the spit has the strongest winds and is ideal for speed sailors and a nearby small bay is perfect for freestyle windsurfing.

There are windsurfing instruction facilities located at Dahab, and locations suitable for windsurfing of all standards. Dahab is also known for its reef diving.
