Zambia, in Africa’s southern region, remains practically untouched by tourists, although its borders enclose the amazing Victoria Falls. After a visit to the waterfalls, safaris and hiking trails are the way to see Zambia’s dark and beautiful heart and the wildlife that inhabits it.

Its borders also contain several national parks, which make Zambia a prime destination for bird watching and fishing enthusiasts and there are just as many species to spot out in the forests and in the Zambezi River. If you tire of the company of leopards and elephants, then head back to the capital of Lusaka for a bit of city comfort and convenience and don’t miss the markets with traditional crafts and pieces from the local arts scene.
