As the region of the United States noted for its flat, endless stretches of basically nothing, a successful visit to the Plains Midwest will require a decent car, interesting company, and a stack of good CDs. The area is home to cattle country, where in the dusty areas of Nebraska and South Dakota, cowboys like Billy the Kid and Annie Oakley roamed the prairie. On Scenic Highway 2, the stretch of road that passes through Nebraska, cars have come to a grinding halt - Chevys buried hood-deep in the ground, Cadillacs placed strategically atop Plymouths in a strange manner that in a way looks like Stonehenge.
