An excellent resort for skiers of all abilities, Mammoth is one of North America's biggest resorts, with 3,500 skiable areas, 150 marked trails and 30 lifts, ensuring there's always a vast array of skiing to be had for all skiers.

With a dedicated beginners' area and green runs aplenty, Mammoth is an excellent place for beginners to learn, whilst intermediates will enjoy the well maintained pistes. The combination of off-piste skiing and double-diamond runs will keep experts busy.

Furthermore, with a base level of 2,424m and the summit at 3,369m, sun and snow is a certainty in this high-altitude resort. There are a variety of mountain restaurants on offer, some of which offer stunning views, although expect queues at peak times. Mammoth is also one of the best resorts in North America for off-mountain activities, with a vast selection of winter sports on offer. Mammoth's apr├ęs-ski mainly comprises bars and restaurants, typically invigorated at weekends but quiet in the week.
