Venice Beach holds a number of beauties within its grasp: sun bathing on

top of roasting beige sand, below a cloudless electric blue sky, and beside

a bikini laden 50-year-old with skin like a designer hand bag. After

spending a few hours bronzing and taking a couple of cruises up and down the

beach to people watch, it's time to trek towards the boardwalk, dodging

bodies along the way. Stop to watch street performances of magic, art, and

dance - but don’t stand too close because the performers love audience

participation. Just one of many beaches reclining along the coast of

California, Venice Beach attracts both the City of Angels locals and

tourists looking for a day in the sun and a little live entertainment at the

same time.

Los Angeles in more than miles of beaches though, and a trip into

down town LA will reveal museums and architecture awaiting perusal,

including work from Wright, Gehry, and Greene & Greene. Spend a day

celebrity stalking in the Hollywood Hills and Bel Air, immersed in a culture

which epitomizes beauty and wealth above all else, and snap a picture of the

Hollywood sign over looking the city, nestled in the

hills.

Great Mexican Food

If you are a fan of good Mexican Food and Large portions Los Angeles is a great place to visit. Although it is the home of Hollywood and the birth of celebrities there are many great places to eat here.

In LA you will also find many missions, that are gorgeous. There are also a few celebrities buried in the area such as Marilyn Monroe and Walt Disney.

A visitor should also visit Venice Beach, no matter what time of year. The weather is generally warm and there are many people doing outdoor activities such as weight-lifting, biking, running and etc.

The celebrity lover would enjoy driving down Rodeo drive, the popular shopping street, or climbing up to the Hollywood sign.

Los Angeles is a great place to be seen as well as just enjoy time.

Any special recommendations on where to eat Mexican in LA?

Yes I highly suggest El Tepayac. It was featured on Man vs. Food and has huge portions, great food and really nice staff. Make sure you go for lunch or at an off time because this place is small and it gets packed. I never had to wait in line but it could happen.

Fun, Sun, and LA

Everyone gets a sense of what LA is like from the movies, and for me, it was EXACTLY what I had expected, good and bad. The restaurants and bars on the 101 were amazing. We sat in a booth and had Thanksgiving dinner overlooking the waves crashing over the rocks. The dinner was great, the drinks were exotic, and the scenery was amazing. The nightlife was a blast. We went to a country bar that came complete with a mechanical bull, which I was unceremoniously forced into riding, but it was fun! The bar was filled with young, good-looking people that frequent LA. We also got a chance to visit sea world. Despite the hot stereotype of LA, it was November, and going to Sea World on a chilly day is never fun, but the experience itself was. I would love to go back in the summer!
