United States

Photo of United States

The United States has been dubbed many things in its brief history - the great American melting pot, the land of the free, and the home of the brave. And visiting the country will make you realize that there is some truth behind America's clichéd nicknames. Stress will melt away as you lounge by the tranquil beaches of the Hawaiian Islands. Fluffy marshmallows will melt into a steaming mug of hot chocolate after a long day on the slopes in Aspen, Colorado. The burnt oranges and the flaming reds of the Grand Canyon will free you from the confining, steely grey of city life. And bravery is required whether you're rafting down the ice-cold Colorado River or strutting beside the fashion-conscious down the sidewalks (or maybe even runways) of New York City.

A little dissapointed that St. Louis, MO or Kansas City is not on the list. I'm from Europe and have travelled to America over 15 times, every time I make sure to visit these nice little cities. Great food and extremely friendly people. The state of Missouri offers quite a bit too

Which list do you think they should appear on and don't? Is it just the list of US cities? If so it's only 'cause we can't fit them all!

where in the virginia mountains gets the most snow?

My husband and I are looking for a place (not a ski resort) to take our young children where we can just rent a nice cabin and play in the snow possibly ride sleds....My children are 2,4,and 5 and my sister and her family is also coming with us (children are 8 months and 3). We don;t want to go to a ski resort due to the ages of our younger children...We plan on traveling Friday, Feb 12th thru Monday, February 15th, 2010...We live in Charleston, SC....Where is the closet place that will have a nice amount of snow at this time?

Top destination in Orlando

Orlando is the major city in United States of Florida. This city is also most popular tourist destination because of its fine weather, close closeness to Disney world, and vacation rentals. Orlando might be home to some of the nation's greatest theme parks, but there are lots more that the city has to offer visitors. Like that type of city is good choice of traveling.
