The UK, as
history's giant playground, is possibly the most contradictory place on Earth.
A wealth of regional, cultural, and developmental differences ensure that it
will always have, speaking in British terms 'character.' Ye Olde Worlde clichés spring to mind at the
U.K.s mention; marvellous red telephone boxes, model villages, endless cups of
tea, and of course the traditional pub; but today, the reality is somewhat
different.
Cities burst to the brim with hip
nightlife, state of the art cinema booths, and the most culturally diverse eateries
in the world; the UK is now anything but reserved. Big rejuvenation projects mean that
ex industrial cities, such as Manchester, Cardiff, Leeds, Birmingham and Newcastle, attract just as many visitors as traditionally popular
destinations loved for their quaintness. While old urban hubs rise out of the
rubble, with architecture and culture to rival London, the UK is
becoming less of a British cliché and more a representation of modern Europe by the minute.
