Uganda has many of the highlights travellers to Africa seek, within its borders and without the tourist hordes found in other nearby countries. What’s more famous in Africa than the Nile River? Well in Jinja, visitors can see the source of the Nile and the more adventurous can get onto, or into, the infamous river for some of the best white water rafting in the world. For more adrenaline inducing antics, there’s also bungee jumping, quad biking and zip lining run across and around the river.

After getting wet and wild, experience another of Africa's famous sights and trek up the highest mountains on the continent, the Mountains of the Moon. For what is possibly the most majestic sight of them all, and the most exclusive, a trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park means visitors can track the endangered mountain gorilla and maybe meet this fascinating and rare species up close.
