The area around Dalaman is quintessentially Mediterranean, with green mountains, rocky cliffs and whitewashed buildings overlooking the turquoise seas. With one significant advantage for those wishing to travel throughout the region - instead of some far flung piece of sand half a day’s journey from civilization, Dalaman is home to one of Turkey’s largest airports meaning visitors are never far from their next destination.

Dalaman is only 15 kms from the beach at Sarigerme and its raging river makes it a popular spot for river rafting and other water sports. When you get out of the water and back on the beach, mingle with the locals- the local turtles that is- that scuttle all over the Iztuzu Beach. Settle down for a nice meal to replenish your soul with the freshest food Turkey has to offer and then it’s on to the next port of call.

Dalaman Car Hire

Dalaman is centrally located in Turkey's beautiful southwestern coastline that is flanked by the spectacular Mediterranean Sea, the pristine Aegean Sea & the seducing Greek Isles that lay just off the coast. To the east, you'll find Gocek, Fethiye, Kalkan, Kas, Demre, Finike, & Antalya. To the west of Dalaman, you will find Dalyan, Bozburun, Mamaris, Datca, Koycegiz,

Gokova, Oren, Bodrum, & Milas. There are ancient ruins that are located throughout this region, dating back thousand's of years. Roman, Greek, & Byzantine empires have made their mark in this region at some point in history. Most of these sites are in relatively good condition, & have not been vandalized & such. If you visit these historic sites, please respect the history they provide us & help to keep them from getting trashed! There are maps available that show ruin locations. Most sites are accessible by car, with a few sites that require an SUV or 4 wheel drive.
