Since 1300 the most populated city in Basque Country has been growing in size and cultural renown. Football, festivals, and food now make up the core of Bilbao’s fun-loving customs, and the St. Thomas Day festival in December is celebrated for its culinary delights. Probably the most famous attraction in the city is the Guggenheim Museum, known just as well for its architecture as for the art inside.
