A traditional Savoyard town, Megéve possesses a great deal of character, with the exclusive boutiques and traffic-free cobbled streets contributing to the personal feel of the resort. The huge ski area caters to skiers of all abilities, offering beginners an array of enjoyable skiing, and although there is a limited selection of challenging pistes, good off-piste skiing can be found. The resort boasts a number of excellent mountain restaurants, though the frustrating lift system is in serious need of investment. The lift system covers two of the three seperate mountains within the ski area, though none of the mountains are linked by piste, which can be inconvenient. those seeking a lively aprés-ski would be better served elsewhere, though there are plenty of off-the-slope activites, from shopping to a variety of sports.
