Malta is a great destination at almost any time of year. Whether its adventure or history or sun or water you're after, Malta has it. Maltese cuisine echoes Malta the country as an interesting blend of different tastes offering something to tempt every palate. Thoughtful travellers will appreciate the Neolithic buildings dating back thousands of years, while retail connoisseurs will be drawn towards the flourishing shopping scene, maybe with an Italian influenced meal to follow.
Malta's history allows it to change constantly, depending on your mood. If you want to relax in a secluded bay on golden sand you can. If you want to jump from the biggest rocky point you dare into the warm sea you can do that too. On a small group of islands you can't be secluded for too long though!

As one of the last National Servicemen,I recently made a nostalgic visit to Malta.I know that you can read about the survival of these islands ,but it is not the same as being there and trying to imagine what those people went through.Having been to the war museum I stood on the barraka overlooking the grand harbour and tried to imagine the scene as it was in 1942. Do what I did,and you will almost hear the guns and the aircraft.
The people of Malta are still the nicest people you could ever wish to meet.If it had not been for them,I might not have been writing this nor you reading it.
Apart from all this, if your interested in diving and getting plenty of sun then it's for you.
