Costa Rica is beautiful - there's no debating it. But take a minute to close your eyes and you'll find that this country is more than just a perfect postcard.

Listen and hear the screech of the howler monkey overhead as they dine on a feast of foliage and fruit, the deafening roar of waterfalls carved into the mountainsides, the soft crunch of leaves on the rainforest floor. Taste new flavours in a simple home-style Caribbean dish of rice and beans and take a deep breath and smell the fragrant air after an afternoon downpour. Run your fingers through the fine white sand or get your palms dirty with a handful of moist black soil.

Then open your eyes to the colour of the place.

Best time to go

Costa Rica has only two seasons of weather - dry and wet. Most visitors come to Costa Rica during the dry season from November to April for a winter get away, but for lush, green scenery and much lower prices, visit during the wet season.

Fantastic Place

Myself and my husband have just recently returned from a holiday in Costa Rica and we had an amazing time . The outdoor activities like zip wiring through the rain forest, hiking and sky diving are amazing and can only be described as a once in a lifetime opportunity . We spent days full of adventure and others relaxing on pure paradise beach .. Costa Rica really does cater for everything . We dined in some fabulous restaurants looking over the ocean and watching the sunset and took long strolls along the beach . Our rental apartment was fantastic and if any one is considering visiting here I would highly recommend using A1 Costa Rica Rental, as they were fantastic ! Great places Great memories !

Which parts of the country would you recommend we stay for our 9 day honeymoon in November?

For Adventurers

My stay in Costa Rica was relatively short, only 10 days. A lot of the activity was outdoors such as zip-lining and hiking through the rainforest. There is plenty to see in the rainforest, including plants and animals you have never seen and may never see again.

A traveler here should also visit Arenal, the still active volcano. You can hike up the mountain, or if you are less adventurous, just take pictures of it from afar. I would highly recommend Costa Rica for a short getaway and you may want to take into account that their rainy season is during the summer.

Costa Rica is a true paradise. Known for its unlimited fun and adventure, a Costa Rican holiday can be about activities like hiking, surfing and scuba diving. Or you can see the wildlife and the active volcanos.

Love the Food

On this trip all I did was eat and lounge on the beach. It is a great place to relax. I did not love the Pacific Side though as I found it over developed. I think the name of my favoriet beach was Cocles and I rented a small villa and a couple of bikes there. Tortuguero was worth seeing as well.

Costa Rica vacations is an ultimate source of refreshment and revitalization. This place doesn’t only offer pleasurable panoramas. It provides wide range of audacious escapades like scuba diving, biking, white water river rafting, snorkeling, four wheeling, butterfly watching, deep sea fishing, surfing, and horse back riding.

My family and I want to travel to Costa Rica for our next vacation. However, we can't get off work and school until May. How much rain could we expect?
