Spend time traipsing through the Amazon forests of Colombia, breathing in the intoxicating smells of exotic flowers, under mammoth trees which only slivers of sunlight can sneak between the leaves of. Monkeys swing aimlessly through the branches, ignoring the presence of people, as unseen birds chirp melodies into the air. Hiking boots trek over the uneven land leaving footprints in the mud.

Spend time snorkelling in shallows water and sunbathing on the beach, with one eye on a volleyball game going on to your right and the impromptu football game starting up on the left. Join in or soak up the rays until the heat is unbearable then dive into the crystalline waters for an afternoon swim along the coast.

Then spend time exploring the port town of Cartagena, strolling along cobblestone streets, stopping at local boutiques to do a little shopping and escape the sun for a few minutes. Grab fresh fruit from a stand on the corner and then head to the port to watch boats come and go as the sun sets on another day of adventure in Colombia.
